Abstract
The University of Nairobi Postgraduate studies started with about 20 students in 1968. This has now grown to a population of more than 13,000 students. Moreover, over 300 programmes are being offered by different departments.
The Board of Postgraduate Studies is committed to the quality and relevance of the graduate education offered at the University of Nairobi. The entire spectrum of disciplines offered include: Arts and Humanities, Biological and Biomedical sciences and Physical sciences. The high quality education is reflected by the quality research being undertaken and nature of publications put in the market per year.
Teaching and research is mainly carried out in the respective Departments and is described in the websites pertaining to a particular Department. I do believe that the quality of the teaching and research you will experience at the University of Nairobi is among the best in the world. It is my hope your time at the university will be enjoyable, productive and rewarding.
