| dc.description.abstract | Presents the results of a monitoring programme of three smallholder irrigation schemes for field crops in Marigat division of Baringo district in Kenya. This was to ascertain the performance of the schemes from both technical and socio-economic criteria and also to identify and document the role of irrigated agriculture in contributing to the farmers household food needs and in improving the overall welfare of the rural farm households.
