Bavistin at lower concentrations, varying from 25-100 ppm, stimulated the growth of A. flavus, A. ochraceus and A. versicolor and aflatoxin B1 production. At higher concentrations varying from 2000-3000 ppm, total inhibition of growth and toxin production occurred when these fungi were grown on synthetic liquid media, maize grain and its flour.en
