| dc.description.abstract | This paper addresses agroforestry in arid lands from the perspective of people's participation. It stresses the crucial importance of trees in a dominant economic sector, animal husbandry, and takes into account the importance of local knowledge and natural resource management in semi-arid West Pokot District.
