Portrait of a Nationalist: the Life of Ronald Ngala
Abstract
There is increasing acceptance that academic attention has,in a variety of disciplines, shifted to the individual.Whereas scholars once talked about oral history or personal reminiscences, they now have a methodology, the life history or biography. This article is such an endeavor:to chronicle and put Ronald Ngala, one of Kenya's nationalists into perspective.Through a life and times approach the article observes that while Ngala was a veritable schemer on Kenya's political landscape,he was equally humanly feeble to err.He is worth remembering in Kenya's annals of history.
