dc.description.abstract	Any work dealing with such a controversial subject as democracy cannot be thoroughly treated with the 12,000 word limit imposed for the L.L.B Dissertation. This therefore meansthat some points which would otherwise have requires detailed discussion have not been dealt with adequately. Some which are relevant to the discussion have been omitted entirely. Nevertheless, I think I have establishes my point.
