Work environment has been identified as one of the key factors that influence transfer of learning. Various researches have indicated that factors in the work environment play a significant role in either inhibiting or facilitating transfer of learning from training programmes. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of work environment on transfer of learning for employees who have undertaken a graduate trainee programme at Kenya Revenue Authority. The research focused on six work environmental factors, namely:organizational climate, supervisory support, opportunity to use, motivation, job and career efficacy and post - training and performance feedback. Data was collected through a questionnaire from employees of KRA who have completed the graduate trainee programme and have been working for at least six months after the training. This study found that work environmental factors have varying influence on transfer of learning: some were found to have strong/critical influence, others moderatellittle influence while others were found to have no influence. For the ones with critical influence on transfer of learning, an organizational climate that promotes continuous learning and development of its employees is a facilitator of transfer of learning. Further, where employees are provided with adequate and variety of opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during training, the level of transfer of learning is higher.en
