Utilisation Of The Habitat By The Reticulated Giraffe (giraffa Camelopardalis Reticulata Linnaeus) In Northern Kenya
Abstract
The research described in this thesis was carried out between
August 1971 and December 1972 in an area of 37 square
kilometres of ranch land in the Laikipia District. Giraffa
cameZopardaZis reticuZata L. has not been studied previously
in the wild. The present work was concerned with investigating
whether the habitat requirements and utilisation differ significantly
from those of the Masai giraffe (Giraffa cameZopardaZis
tippeZskirchi Matschie).
