dc.description.abstract | This Electronic Resource Materials Management System (ERMMS) is based on
UNON(United Nations's Office at Nairobi) CITS(Consolidated Information Technology
Service) operations. It is a tool developed in response to the new IT Security Policy
which advocates for strict control of the Software Configuration Item(SCI) as a major
component of the UNON IT Infrastructure ..
With this IT Security Policy, it means that you cannot install any software application,
operating system, drivers, e-learning applications and documentaries without being an
administrator because all PCs and Servers run on customized operating system images.
This information system then aims to centralize the management of all types software
used for PCs, Servers, Documentaries and E-Learning materials and Documentations so
as to manage them as SCI and their ultimate deployment in accordance with the IT
Security Policy. | en |
