dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study is to determine the influence of corporate strategies on services outsourced by the commercial banks in Kenya The population of the study consisted of 43 commercial banks listed in Nairobi Stock Exchange and the study is a survey design based and utilizes primary data collected from the bank's staff and documents respectively. The primary data was collected using semi structured questionnaire that was dropped and picked later. The study targeted the head of finance, head of procurement and head of corporate planning. The data was analyzed using statistical package on social sciences with the help of descriptive statistics. The findings from the analysis showed that differentiation strategy influence outsourcing of cleaning, training and marketing services in commercial banks in Nairobi in order to increase efficiency, reduce cost of operation, spread the risk as well as improve the institutions focus. The study, therefore, reveals that it is important for any commercial bank involved in making outsourcing decisions to consider differentiation strategy in order to maximize their gains from cleaning, training and marketing services outsourced as a key management strategy. It was recommended that commercial banks should incorporate fully differentiation as a strategy that influence services outsourced and state there should be a clear policy on the most influential strategies to consider when making services outsourced decisions. This would help the management in knowing clearly what to outsource and what not to outsource at any given time.en_US
