dc.description.abstract | The fundamental factor affecting Kenyatta International Convention Centre has been the
implementation of its business process reengineering plan. This is as a result of
organizational leadership commitment, information technology, Employee training and
organizational cultural values. It is from this onset that the study aimed to examine
whether the above named factors influenced reengineering at Kenyatta International
Convention Centre. Theoretical review was used to give a detailed overview on strategy
development and the implementation process. In addition, empirical review was
undertaken for each independent variable in acknowledging past research studies that
have been done and building on the gaps identified. The research design was a case study
done at Kenyatta International Convention Centre located along Harambee Avenue,
Nairobi County. The study targeted the Management team. The researcher used an
interview guide in collecting the data for two (2) weeks then analyzed it. The findings
from the study indicated that 87.25 of the respondents opined that situational leadership
style was adopted by the organization in the reengineering process. The findings also
indicated that 90% of the respondents had confidence in the financial resource
mobilization of the Corporation. Further, 83% of the respondents were of the view that
the Organization had sufficient information technology to drive the reengineering process
however 53% found it was unreliable. With regard to employee training73% of the
respondents felt that it was irrelevant. Finally, 73% of the respondents opined that the
organizational values played a critical role which had a positive impact on the
reengineering process. | en |
