This study sought to find the role information communication technology and strategy implementation in state corporations of Kenya in the tourism sector. The research was guided by technology acceptance model or theory of planned behavior to better understand the role of ICT. Primary data was used for the study and the research instrument was a questionnaire. The population for the study were top management level, middle level managers and low level management in seven parastatals in the tourism sector namely Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Tourism Finance Corporation, Kenya Tourism Board, Kenya Utalii College, Bomas of Kenya, Kenya safari, hotels and lodges and Tourism Fund. The response rate was 96% (n=60).The study found out that Information communication technology is among the key players in the management of many organizations and that ICT supports organizations by providing a channel through which the organization’s operations are handled in a smooth manner which eventually increases the efficiency of the organization. Its multifunctionality and flexibility creates room for tailored solutions that are based on personalization and localization in the endeavor to meet diverse needs. The study recommends that State corporations should address the challenges realized from this study in order to ensure effective adoption of ICT. System instability should be paid much attention and the concerned departments should fully coordinate to ensure that the systems are up and running. Lastly, the study recommends state corporations to ensure that they purchase enough systems to ensure that all staff can access them and this will increase staff productivity and service delivery. The systems should also be updated from time to time to limit the possibilities of system downturns.en
