dc.description(data migrated from the old repository's GRL collection)
The research covered the diversity of fishery organisms at Kilifi creek and concentrated on the species composition and distribution of the Mugilidae from which the most available species were identified. The study also dealt with population parameters and reproduction of two Mugilidae species, Mugil Cephalus Linnaeus, 1758; Vilamugil buchanani Bleeker, 1853 as potential candidates for culture. The study provides suggestions on how to protect important nursery sites at Kilifi for sustainability and conservation of these fisheries resources for posterity.en_US
