While addressing the participants, Prof. Agnes Mwang’ombe, Principal, CAVS, thanked those present for their generous contribution towards tree planting. She called on Kenyans to plant trees in large numbers in order to increase the country’s forest cover which stands at less 10 per cent. This month alone, CAVS is targeting to plant a record 15,000 indigenous trees in an intense tree planting programme in various in various University stations.
