The construction industry is one of the major contributors to the country economy. Just like any other industry, the firms in this sector are faced with an ever-changing external environment. To survive the turbulent environment, the organisation must continually review the strategic practices to remain competitive. This research project, therefore, sought to establish the strategic management practices in the construction industry with specific reference to Triad Architects Ltd. The study adopted a case study research design where data was collected through personal interviews and data analysed through thematic and comparative analysis. The study found out that Triad Architects Ltd is involved in strategic planning as evidenced by presence of a mission and vision statement. The main strategic orientations include offering superior products through innovation while reaching customers within a wide geographic reach. Cost leadership is not a strategy adopted by Triad. In conclusion organisations must adopt strategic planning practices to remain competitive in an ever changing environment.en_US
