As the world population increases, there is consequent increase in energy use. The rapid depletion of fossil fuel resources on a worldwide basis has necessitated an urgent search for alternative energy sources to cater to the present day demands. Alternative energy resources such as solar and wind have attracted energy sectors to generate power on a large scale. Plus, there is increasing cost of energy due to the exhaustible nature of fossils. Therefore, there is need to conceptualize an energy center for energy efficient and sustainable neighborhood development by applying a hybrid power system (wind-solar-diesel generator). This kind of hybrid system can attenuate individual fluctuations, increase overall energy output and reduce energy storage requirements significantly. This system can be adopted for new establishments in order to minimize carbon emissions and also reduce the cost of energyen_US
