dc.description.abstract | Kajiado North District is located in Olkejuado County in the Rift valley province of Kenya. Kajiado North, being a semi-arid area, is prone to climate change effects. Although the government and other organizations are involved in water-related activities in Kajiado North ward, the capacity of the community is still inadequate to take advantage of the potential that rainwater harvesting offers in mitigating the effects of water scarcity in most parts of the county. My major objective for this study is to contribute towards finding long-term solution to the water scarcity situation in Kajiado north district by determining the perceptions, status and potential for water harvesting in Ongata Rongai and South Keekonyokei region. I will carry out the study by use of semi structured survey questionnaire with closed questions. My study population will consist of 90 respondents from the 2 study area. Random selection will be used to select the respondents depending on population and the resources available. | en_US |
