dc.description.abstractThe University of Nairobi will be holding a 100-day RRI programme on the sensitization of staff on the Constitution of Kenya (2010); and the Public Service Integrity Programme (PSIP). The RRI programme will be officially launched on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in Taifa Hall, Main Campus. The University will implement the RRI programme in partnership with the Commission for Implementation of the Constitution; Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UONAA). In order to successfully implement this programme, the University has set up planning and implementation committees chaired by Prof. P.M.F. Mbithi, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Finance). The sponsor of the programme is Prof. G.A.O. Magoha, Vice-Chancellor (University of Nairobi). The objectives of the programme are to sensitize staff, students and alumni on: The Constitution of Kenya (2010) The role of the University in implementation of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) This programme will be implemented in three phases starting from August 5, 2013 with the closing ceremony to be held on November 1, 2013: Phase I – publicity activities, official launch, public lecture, management sensitization and training of integrity champions Phase II – College-based sensitization, reporting and monitoring & evaluation Phase II – End-term (closing) ceremony All staff, students and alumni are all requested to participate and give the necessary support required for the successful implementation of the RRI programme.
