dc.description.abstractAs of today, 27 students of the 167 injured yesterday, following the electric cable explosion at Kikuyu Campus, are still receiving treatment in various hospitals. Kenyatta National Hospital which admitted 112, has discharged 89 while 22 are still hospitalized. Six of the 22 students admitted underwent successful surgery and are recuperating. One student was transferred to Nairobi Hospital. The four students, who were admitted to PCEA Thogoto Hospital, have since been transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment. 50 students were received, treated and discharged from the hospital yesterday. We have been informed by hospital authorities that all the students admitted are in a stable condition.
