dc.description.abstractThe University of Nairobi and Handong Global University have discussed plans on possible collaborations between the two institutions. In a two hour discussion at Sun Mayfair hotel in Parklands, it was agreed that UoN has established a remarkable relationship with Korean institutions and that a partnership with Handong Global University would be mutually beneficial. While welcoming the initiative, College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) Principal, Prof. Enos Njeru said that benchmarking with the best universities in the world is one of the University of Nairobi’s strategic plans. Speaking during the meeting Handong Global University’s President, Soon Heung Chang said that he was interested in starting a joint program on entrepreneurship and job creation with the University of Nairobi. President Chang said that Handong Global University was more focused on promoting development in Africa and creation of jobs for graduates. President Chang also said that he was ready to set up an Incubation Centre where students would be able to develop products and services that would create employment and enhance national and global development.
