dc.description.abstractDr. Mary W. Kimani has been the Chairperson, Department of Real Estate and Construction Management in the School of the Built Environment, since August 2008. She has also held various positions at the department, such as Senior Lecturer (from 2009 - date), Lecturer (May 1997– March 2009) and Assistant Lecture (April 1993 - September 1994). She has authored various publications, book chapters and done several presentations at various conferences, both locally and abroad. Her ambition for the department is to see many graduates employed in the Built environment industry as public or private valuers, Estate agents, property managers, building surveyors, construction managers as well as housing policy professionals.en_US
