Toxic and medicinal plants of East Africa. Part 1.
Abstract
Short notes are given on the distribution, description and toxic principle of: Cassine buchananii, Elaeodendron kiniense, Acokanthera longiflora, A. schimperi, Dialiopsis africana and Stephanorossia palustris. Feeding trials with these plants, in which symptoms and post-mortem lesions were induced in different animal species, are discussed.
