dc.description.abstractMr. Langdon Morris, the Founder, InnovationLabs LLC, has challenged universities to champion innovations in Kenya. Morris urged innovators to take their products to the market and innovate and prosper. Morris was giving the key note presentation at the pre-event Nairobi Innovation Week workshop, held on August 3, 2015 at the Serena Hotel.Morris noted that technology is changing how we do things. Technology has made changes in the health sector, agricultural sector, energy sector and our cultural systems as well. He urged the business community to be innovative in order to remain competitive and relevant saying that only the most innovative company will survive. A global innovation icon, Morris is recognized as one the world’s leading thinkers and consultants on innovation, and his original and ground-breaking work has been adopted by corporations and universities on every continent to help them improve their innovation processes and the results they achieve. He will also speak at the Nairobi Innovation Week key note panel on building a national innovation ecosystem on August 5, 2015.The Chancellor, Dr. Vijoo Rattansi, the Chairman of Council, Dr. Idle Farah and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi, led University of Nairobi top managers at the event. Managers drawn from the public and private sectors were also present.en_US
