A pace of technological change that generates extensive socially significant change characterizes the twenty first century. This is part of globalization and Kenya is a full participant. Globalizatiqn has brought new challenges, which may be due to or because of the technological changes. This study attempts to find the correlation between the state of insecurity and technology. It was motivated by the observation that despite the ubiquity of technology, which is supposed to solve many problems, the pervading feeling of insecurity is widespread. The objective was to find out the impact of technology on global stability and its influence on the security in Kenya. The study found that technology has both stabilizing and destabilizing effects at the global and regional level. Technology was found to impact security positively and negatively in different degrees. The study therefore proposes some interventionist measures to optimize technology and minimize insecurity.en_US
