The lecture was professional, vivid, funny and profound. Volunteers not only felt the spirit of Kenya teacher, but also learned a lot in this lecture. What’s more, it gave the volunteers a lot of space to reflect themselves. Prof Okoth Okombo introduced the three necessities to be a good teacher, which are competence, commitment and skill. And explained them with vivid stories and examples. He also explained his understanding of the model in language teaching. Teachers, as a model, should try to reduce the distance between students and themselves step by step, and help them to be a model finally. Through the lecture, the volunteers are rightly directed and have a clear idea of how to be a good teacher.en_US
