In an event organized by the Engineering Students Association, engineering students across all the Departments got an opportunity to interact with representatives from Wrigleys on 25th September 2015. Wrigley EA is a leading confectionaries manufacturer in world. The students learnt about Supply Chain Management, Performance Management and Career Pathing, as well as the company’s organizational structure. With 57% women in leadership, the company demonstrated the importance of diversity and inclusion. Various career development programs in the company were also explored and in an effort to become the employer of choice, Wrigleys EA shared their extension plans, more specifically, their new plant in Athi River which is under construction. Mr. Patrick Nderitu, an alumni of the School Of Engineering (Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering), and who is now an employee, or ‘associate’ as they like to put it, with Wrigley EA was an assurance of the employability of graduates from the School of Engineering, University of Nairobi.
