Pruning and trellising purple passion fruit. II. Disease incidence, fruit size and quality.
Abstract
Trellising did not affect fruit size or quality. Three-wire trellising produced more diseased [Alternaria passiflorae] laterals and fruit than 1-wire trellising. Light and selective pruning produced heavier and better quality fruit than severe or no pruning.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:In comparative experiments 3-wire trellising produced more diseased laterals and fruit than 1-wire trellising.
