Performance Management Systems Strategy and Employee Commitment at Kenya Commercial Bank Group, Thika Branch, Kenya
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Performance management
system strategy on employee commitment in the banking industry. Performance
management involves more than simply providing an annual review for each employee. It
is about working together with that employee to identify strengths and weaknesses in
their performance and how to help them be a more productive and effective worker.
Learn how to develop a performance management system so that you can help everyone
in your organization work to their full potential. The objectives of the study were to
identify performance management systems strategy at KCB Group, Thika branch in
Kenya, determine Influence of performance management systems strategy on employee
commitment in KCB Group, Thika Branch. The research study attempts to explain the
two theories that relates to Performance management system and employee commitment.
Primary data was obtained through questionnaires, using structured and unstructured
questions. The study put across questions touching on their involvement in setting up
goals and if the employees were involved, if evaluation and feedback method was done
correctly and in time and if they were a reward system. The study used a cross-sectional
research design to meet the objectives of the study. The data was analyzed by use of
SPSS. The data was presented using graphs, table and pie-Charts. The study found that
