| dc.description.abstract | Every organization needs to have a strategy of how it operates in the ever changing environment so as to ensure it survives in the same environment. To be able to implement this strategy it is important in all types of organizations be it profit or non-profit organizations to use business process re-engineering as a tool to implement strategy. BPR ensures that output is maximized using the least resources. This research paper was on the application the application of business process at the Kenya Judiciary and the objective was to understand how the Kenya Judiciary uses the business process reengineering and also how it has contributed to its performance as a strategic planning tool. The study used this case study to be able to get answers to my research problem. Data was collected using personal interviews with chief registrar, president court of appeal, principal judge high court, register lower court and head of paralegal staff after which content analysis was carried out on the responses received. The study used the research design. This approach is particularly appropriate for individual researchers because it gives an opportunity for one aspect of a problem to be studied in some depth within a limited time scale. Change management especially through embracing information technology came out strongly as a factor to their success using both internal and external change agents. Recommendations made for further studies by the researcher was that it is essential to validate the proposed model and its measurement instrument with public sector organizations in developing. | en_US |
