dc.description.abstractThe research project defines capital gains tax and how it relates to the real estate market in Kenya. The project‟s objective is to determine the strategic response of estate agency firms due to the re-introduction of the capital gains tax in Kenya. To achieve this objective, the research delves into the theoretical foundation, history, suspension and re-introduction of Capital Gains Tax under the literature review. The research project spells out the methodology and particularly defines the target population for this project which consists of registered real estate agents. Random sampling is used to identify the respondents. Data is collected through a questionnaire instrument which is self-administered. The research project goes further to conduct data analysis with the various findings being discussed. The collected data is thereafter analysed and reflected on graphs, pie-charts and tables to present the findings. The research project concludes by outlining the summary with a discussion on the conclusion and recommendations on the strategic response of estate agency firms due to how the re-introduction of Capital Gains in Kenya.en_US
