This project was motivated by the need to have a methodology or process-model constructed or tailored specifically for application integration projects. It was out of the realization that the exlstinq methodologies for conventional system development were too generic and ignored integrationspecific aspects such as the concepts of a 'message' and 'data exchange points' as defined in this project. This research proposes a process-model for Analysis and Design of Enterprise Application Integration projects. The process-model attempts to describe a set of activities that should be carried out during analysis and design and prescribes key deliverables for each activity. The model is constructed using situational method engineering techniques and validated through expert reviews. A study area is selected and the activities of the process-model applied to the same to demonstrate how the model can be applied for integration projects and to facilitate validation of the model through expert review. From the work done, it was concluded that whereas there are many conventional systems development methodologies, it is difficult to get one suitable for development of integration projects. However, it is possible to construct a process-model from existing ones, but validation of such a model is very critical to its success. There should also be mechanisms to measure applicability of the constructed models. KEY WORDS: Enterprise Application Integration, Process Model, Information Exchange, Method Engineeringen_US
