dc.description.abstractThis research paper constitutes an investigative study into fostering of Innovation and its adaptation in the Kenya construction industry, with special regard to the Building and Civil Engineering Contractors in Nairobi. There are five chapters to this study. The first se comprises the introductory chapter covering the general introduction of the study. This section could be regarded as the back bone of the study setting out the problem statement, the objectives of the study, hypothesis, the scope and the significance of the study. Chapter two centers on the literature review especially as regards to the construction technology innovation and its adoption in the Kenya construction industry in particular. Chapter three is the research methodology Chapter four of this paper could be regarded as the vital core of the study dealing with data analysis and presentation. And finally chapter five gives the conclusion and recommendations To carry out the study, both contractors and consultants in the construction industry were visited, and questionnaires administered to them The data and information for these studies were collected, by research assistants and myself. The research assistants were final year students at the University of Nairobi drawn from the College of Architecture and Engineering.en_US
