Strategic management can be defined as the set of decisions and actions resulting in formulation and implementation of strategies designed to achieve the objectives of an organization. Strategy implementation is one of the components of strategic management and refers to a set of decisions and actions that result in the formulation and implementation of long term plans designed to achieve organizational objectives (Pearce & Robinson, 2007). Though very key, strategy implementation is one of the most challenging aspects of strategic management in that it requires immense resources and also due to the nature of the environments under which organizations operate.
