dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we analyze data on malaria prevalence in Kenya and investigate if there are incidences of malaria in areas formerly not prone to malaria infection. It is hoped that the findings of this study shall be used to develop strategies for combating the disease in these areas. We have thus investigated malaria trends using mathematical models thereby contributing to the global goal of curbing malaria spread and eradicating the disease. We have also studied the effect of changing rainfall patterns on malaria prevalence. There is generally a high positive correlation between Malaria prevalence and rainfall across all the provinces.en_US
