dc.description.abstractIntegrated Financial Management Information System is an automated system that is used for public financial management. It interlinks planning, budgeting, expenditure management and control, accounting, audit and reporting. The Government of Kenya (GoK) has made deliberate efforts to decentralize most of its development projects over the years with the aim of establishing funding programs that bring development closer to the people. Governments have the essential obligation regarding the macroeconomic adjustment capacity and wage redistribution as help to poor people.The three economic functions that should be assigned to the Government: stabilization, distribution and allocation. In public finance theory, the stabilization function is assigned to the Central Government. To determine the result of using an integrated financial management information system on the performance of judiciary in Kenya. The effect on the adoption was considered by looking at its on transactions processing, financial reporting and financial controls. The study looked at all the departments in the Judiciary in Kenya and found out that there a strong correlation between the adoption of IFMIS and performance of the judiciary in Kenyaen_US
