dc.description.abstractQuarried stones are the main construction materials used for the purpose of enclosure and load bearing in most constructed facilities in Kenya Juja quarries provide building stones for construction work in Nairobi Metropolitan and the neighbouring Counties. Transactions of Juja quarry stones ate mainly inter-mediated between one of the buyer and seller of stones by intermediaries (middlemen) commonly referred to as brokers. The study location was Juja Kiambu County, where there are a total of 41 active quarries and approximately 150 brokers. The objective of this study are three fold ; Determine the impact of brokers on price of building stones at the quarries, establish the influence of the brokers on the choice of building stone at the quarries and establish the conditions that make brokers apparently necessary to both the quarry managers and buyers of building stones.......en_US
