research findings, the study concludes that knowledge management is key in improving the
performance of commercial banks in Nairobi. Knowledge management is ensured in the
commercial banks by having a good system for capturing, collecting and transferring relevant
knowledge. The use of proper channels for communications created an effective tool for
knowledge management mean. Knowledge management enhanced product and service
delivery in these commercial banks and ensured improved employee productivity as well as
the overall performance of commercial banks. This study recommends that other organizations
which have not embraced knowledge management should consider doing so in order to
improve their productivity and performance. It is suggested that a similar study be done in both
the public as well as the private sector in order to obtain generalizable results.
