The average essential oil contents of Plectranthus marrubioides leave was determined to be 4.1 %, calculated on a moisture-free basis. The gas liquid chromatography (GLC) analysis of the oil showed that the average camphor content was 64.4'X,. There were also a number of hydrocarbon terpenes and other unidentified compounds present.
