dc.description.abstractThe study examined the factors influencing the Implementation of Information Communication Technology (lCT) in public secondary schools in Teso North District. The study was focused on the level of adequacy. of infrastructure, the level of principals' participation in the management and the constraints to effective usage of ICT in secondary schools. It is hoped that the study will be useful in that it will contribute valuable knowledge to the field of ICT integration in secondary schools in general. It's expected to produce hitherto unavailable knowledge on this subject. This study adopted the descriptive research design. This design involved the measurement, classification, analysis, comparison and interpretation of data. The study population comprised of 200 respondents. This includded 20 district schools four provincial schools and one National school. Purposive sampling procedure was used to select the national and provincial schools from the district. Systematic random sampling was used to select district schools. Questionnaires were prepared by the researcher and used as main instruments for the collection of data. This was used since they enhance a collection of more detailed data. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistical approaches whereby the sums, frequencies and percentages were calculated. The results of the analysis were presented in tabular form for easy and concise discussions and support on logical basis. The summary of findings, conclusions and recommendations were given for future action.en
