dc.description.abstractIn most Institutions, the major remedy for teacher’s performance and job satisfaction remains to be the type of motivation that is used by the management for the employees. The1 purpose1 of1 this1 study1 was1 to1 investigate1 the1 influence1 of1 school1 working1 conditions1 on1 teacher1 job1 satisfaction1 in1 public1 primary1 schools1 in1 East1 Pokot1 Sub-County1 in1 Baringo1 County,1 Kenya.1 1 The1 objectives1 were1 to1 determine1 the1 influence1 of1 head1 teachers’1 working1 inter-relationships1 on1 teachers’1 job1 satisfaction,1 the1 influence1 of1 the1 availability1 of1 Professional1 Teacher1 Development1 programmes1 on1 teachers’1 job1 satisfaction,1 the1 extent1 to1 which1 teachers’1 perception1 of1 the1 adequacy1 of1 medical1 allowance1 influences1 teachers’1 job1 satisfaction1 and1 the1 influence1 of1 adequacy1 of1 school1 facilities1 on1 teachers’1 job1 satisfaction.1 The1 study1 was1 guided1 by1 two1 factor1 theory1 by1 Fredrick1 Herzberg.1 1 Descriptive1 survey1 design1 was1 adopted.1 Stratified1 proportionate1 sampling1 was1 used1 to1 select1 111 schools1 from1 the1 three1 divisions.1 Census1 sampling1 was1 used1 to1 select1 111 head1 teachers1 in1 the1 sampled1 schools1 and1 one1 TSC1 Human1 Resource1 officer.1 1 Out1 of1 2101 teachers,1 1261 teachers1 were1 sampled1 which1 translates1 to1 331 percent.1 The1 data1 from1 the1 head1 teachers,1 TSC1 official1 and1 teachers1 was1 collected1 using1 questionnaires.1 A1 pilot1 study1 was1 done1 to1 check1 on1 the1 reliability1 and1 validity1 of1 the1 research1 instruments.1 The1 values1 of1 r1 from1 the1 head1 teachers’1 interview1 guide1 scored1 a1 coefficient1 correlation1 of1 0.78,1 teacher’s1 questionnaire,1 0.73,1 and1 TSC1 official’s1 questionnaire1 scored1 0.77.Descriptive1 statistics1 (frequencies,1 percentage1 and1 mean1 scores)1 were1 used1 in1 the1 analysis.1 1 From1 the1 findings1 the1 study1 found1 the1 majority1 of1 the1 head1 teachers1 working1 relationships1 with1 teachers’1 maintained1 transparency1 which1 influenced1 the1 teacher’s1 job1 satisfaction.1 A1 mean1 of1 4.681 indicated1 that1 teachers1 relied1 on1 the1 N1 H1 I1 F1 and1 other1 medical1 insurance1 cover1 is1 offered.1 1 A1 mean1 score1 of1 4.611 indicated1 that1 the1 teachers1 were1 satisfied1 with1 the1 availability1 of1 school1 facilities1 that1 enhance1 teachers’1 job1 satisfaction1 like1 being1 able1 to1 use1 Stationery1 and1 teaching1 materials1 which1 should1 be1 provided1 by1 the1 school1 head1 teachers.1 A1 mean1 score1 of1 3.7541 indicated1 that1 teachers1 were1 relieved1 that the commission approves training institutes to conduct teacher development programmes. The study recommended that the curriculum support officers ‘conduct timely professional training development programmes so that the teachers gain knowledge as the technology keeps changing with the new curriculum. This curriculum, Competence Based Curriculum now runs all through in all the counties in Kenyaen_US
