The video was recorded in 2017 and it focuses on the challenges women experience in the political arena. Women are marginalized in parliament and the few who manage to get into this space are discriminated against and intimidated by their male colleagues. It is their harmony and mutual moral and technical support that enables them to thrive in this space. Ms. Alice Yano shares her experiences, particularly the discrimination she experienced from men from the Rift Valley who were infuriated when she passed the interview to represent the region as one of the commissioners of the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission (CKRC). Spirited efforts to replace her were in vain as the selection process was transparent.
