dc.description.abstractEffective school management enhances academic attainment in both developed and developing nations. This study sought to investigate principals ’management practices which include: effective communication, stake holder involvement, acquisition and maintenance of infrastructure and Information Communication technology/ies integration on academic performance in public secondary schools. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of principals ’management practices on academic performance in public secondary schools in Nyando Sub-county.The studywasanchoredonclassical management theory propounded by Henry Fayol (1925). The study employed descriptive research design. The target population for the study was all the30public secondary schools,30 principals and 30 heads of departments in Nyando Sub County and the one Sub County Director of Education.
