dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing student's strikes in public secondary schools in Central Division, T.aikipia District. A major justification for this study was to date the problem of student's strikes that has been largely concentrated among secondary schools. Whereas in the past, cases of school disturbances within T.aikipia District have been minimal, the last six months have registered alarming high rate of school strikes and other form of school disturbances. The study was done within the framework of sociological theory of social structural theory and Devins theory by Durken. The selection of Central Division. T.aikipia District was through purposive sampling. Questionnaires were used as instrument of research and data collected analyzed by use of frequency tables, pentagons and pie tables. Among the recommendation for policy implementation was the need to strengthen guidance and counseling in schools as well as good school management.en
