dc.description.abstract | The national liberation of Southern Africa
with an exception of few other areas in Africa
assumed and continues to assume an ever wider
mark of armed struggle. For instance, 1985, has
witnessed escalating armed struggle in South
Africa and Nambia, the last of the remaining
colonies. The South African regime continues to
carry out hot pursuits amongst the frontline
states in its determination not only to wipe out
freedom fighter bases but also to compel these
states to sign a non-aggression pact with her.
At no time in the history of the national
liberation struggle have the character of classes
that rule the states on the globe revealed their
true character towards the national liberation
more than during the national liberation
struggle of Southern Africa. In particular, the
class forces that are the ruling parties in the
frontline states have increasingly led bare their
true character towards the national liberation
particularly. between 1969 to 1984 when one of
them (Mozambique) signed a non-aggression treaty
with the national colonial bourgeois state of South
Africa. There can be no doubt that the final
liberation of South Africa and Nambia is yet to
reveal the character of classes that rule the states
on the globe more fully. | en |
