It is important that a consumer get the quality of a product she/he wants. Consequently, the quality of a finished product should be controlled to a desired level.Thisisdone through statistical quality control. We have Univariate process controland multivariate process control. In the first case, one is interested in controllingone quality characteristic of a product, whereas in the second case, oneisinterested in controlling more than one quality characteristics ofaproduct. Thisprojectdeals with both caseswith special emphasis on the second. Finally,we have looked at multivariate process control using the method of principalcomponent analysis.en
