dc.description.abstractA cross sectional blood pressure survey covering 1,326 high school pupils aged 15 to 19 years was carried out in High School pupils from Nairobi and the former Dagoretti Location of Kiambu District. The results showed:- 1. An increase in mean arterial pressure with age. 2. Higher blood pressure levels in the urban compared to those of the peri urban communities. 3. Higher blood pressure levels in day scholars than in boarders. 4. A higher incidence of "hypertensives" in the group than is seen at Kenyatta National Hospital •en
