dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between learning resources and performance in agriculture in Secondary Schools. This was done by focusing on Ndaragwa Division of Nyandarua District. The objectives of the study were:- to identify teaching and learning resources available for agriculture in schools; to find out the relationship between availability of resources for learning and performance at K.C.S.E.: identify the problems faced by teachers while using the available teaching resources. and recommend possible solutions to problems encountered while using available teaching resources. The researcher reviewed literature related to use of teaching resources in agriculture and performance from many past scholars The literature in general terms emphasized on the use of learning resources to achieve [he goals of education. SLll'\ey design \Vas used to collect data. A questionnaire for students and interview schedules for teachers and principals were developed. The result-; indicated that many schools do not ha , e enough teaching and learning resources. This leads to poor performance in agriculture at K.l'S.E. Schools with more .. agricultural resources performed better than the schools which dil~'not have. It was concluded that a relationship between availability of resources for learning and performance in agriculture: K.C.S.E existed. Schools with more teaching and learning resources and better performance as compared to those with less. The researcher recommended that schools be equipped with adequate teaching and learning resources so as to improve performance of agriculture: at K.C.S.E.en
