We present what we believe is the first case of pregnancy occurring in a patient on CAPD, and indeed end stage renal disease (ESRD), in Kenya. Pregnancy progressed very well until the thirtieth week when foetal movements and heart sounds were noted to be absent and this was confirmed by sonography. A macerated still birth was delivered per vagina following induction of labour. We review the literature on this rare occurrence and discuss the possible causes of the unpleasant outcome in our patient.en
