dc.description.abstractThe research project IS a comparative study of handling the computer studies subject in government and private schools. Aresearch has been conducted by visiting both government schools handling the 8-4-4 system and private schools handling the British curriculum in Nairobi province to compare many issues like curriculum, facilities, performance and the outcome. The research outcome shows the differences In syllabus and the varIOUS computer facilities In government and private schools in Nairobi province. Although the private schools are doing well in handling the subject, a very positive improvement in the government schools shows the awareness of computer technology and how it can make a difference In building up a nation. Lot of hard work needs to be done by the government for the successful implementation of computer studies in many schools for a bright future of the nation.en
