dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study is to analyze the causes of non-payment fees In Mathioya constituency of Muranga district. non payment of school fees has been one of the reasons for high drop out rate in Kenyan schools Parents and guardians constantly complain that school fee charged in Kenya Public school is too high while others can comfortably send their children to private institution where payment 'is relatively high. The main objective of this study is to come up with methods of fees payment that will enable all students to pay their schools fees promptly. The value system that will be employed is of free enterprise where fees payment is set on the basic of demand and supply. The researcher will investigate the role played by poor selection of school by the parent's students and guardians (leaner choice of secondary school and its effect on poor payment of fee. The effects of calamities such as poor weather, diseases and death on fee collection will also be investigated. Methods of improving fees payment will be investigated. Study will adopt a descriptive research design. Data will be collected using interviews and questionnaire. The sample will be selected using simple random sampling. Principals, guardian's parents and students will be interviewed and administered with questionnaireen
